Why Most Diets Fail
and Ours Work
We have all seen this simple equation.
(calories in - calories burned = + or - weight gain)
The problem is that most diets focus on counting the calories in. Either by restricting the amount of food you can eat, and or, the type of food you can eat, preparing your meals for you, or using drugs that stimulate the brain: caffeine, ephedra, etc.
Until now the only way to increase the calories burned was by exercise. Unfortunately, exercise programs just like restrictive diets never seem to last. Most of us just don't do it.
Do You Miss Your Youth?
Remember when you were younger and you had abundant energy, could eat anything you wanted and burn it all off. Then your metabolism slowed, middle age spread started and it seems like you gained weight by simply smelling a hamburger.
Genetic Research Has Broken The Code
"Epi-genetics" is an emerging field of Genetic research. Researchers are discovering "Super Foods" which effect our genetic expression. Foods that turn on and turn off our genes. There are foods and compounds in super foods that repair our age related decline in burning calories. The "Mitochondria" are organelles in each of our cells that perform the process of turning food to energy. When the mitochondria are old, tired, and broken we can't convert our food to energy as efficiently as when we were younger. The result is storage of food or weight gain. Repair the Mitochondria and you reverse this process. This age related process seems to be associated with most of our age related diseases including, type2 diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, strokes, memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.
